Keeping the Bachman Greenbelt Beautiful

Writer: Friends of Bachman LakeFriends of Bachman Lake

As we are activating the Bachman Greenbelt, we are trying to be pro-active about maintenance and trash pick-ups. Last year we did several events in conjunction with Greenspace Dallas and Texas Conservation Alliance. This year, we are adding the Keep Dallas Beautiful Program to the mix!

Keep Dallas Beautiful (KDB) is a program under the auspices of the City of Dallas Sanitation Department and focuses on three main pillars: litter prevention, recycling, and beautification. Through initiatives and focus under Code Compliance Services, KDB aims to educate and engage residents in Dallas about the importance of a clean and healthy city.

Adopt-A-Spot allows residents, groups and businesses the choice to work with Code/Keep Dallas Beautiful and maintain selected areas in Dallas for up to one year. By adopting a spot in Dallas, groups will be required to maintain the property making sure it is litter-free.

We hope to integrate efforts by KDB with our Greenbelt initiatives to keep the dramatic momentum and transformation we've seen at the Greenbelt over the last two years.
